I worII wore glasses because my vision was bad before Dr. Shah removed my cataracts. The surgery was quick and comfortable. I noticed an improvement within a week after surgery and now my vision is perfect. I can read and drive now and consider my cataract surgery a complete success.
At first I was nervous, but Dr. Shah and his staff answered all of my questions and eased my fears. Everyone at Dr. Shah's office is very professional and efficient but friendly.
My experience with Dr. Shah and North County Ophthalmology, my new vision and the ways that it has improved my life - all of these are excellent, so I tell my friends that they shouldn't go anywhere else if they have cataracts.

I came to Dr. Shah because my distance vision was really affected. I couldn't read road and street signs until I was right there in front of them. Colors were dull, too, and I had to position my head just right to be able and see well enough to read for pleasure.
Before surgery, I had been wearing glasses for more than 30 years, and I needed 3+ "cheaters" when I stitched. The procedure was very successful. I began noticing improvement within 24 hours after the surgery and since then my vision has been just great. I no longer wear glasses! My distance and near vision are very good and I can see colors better. I no longer get frustrated trying to see and stitch, and I'm safer when I drive. My vision is so great that I can read even the smallest print without much effort!
I wasn't nervous about having the procedure, and I believe that's because the way I was treated kept me from ever becoming nervous. Dr. Shah and Nancy both spent time explaining everything to me as to what, when, and how everything would happen. At every visit Dr. Shah asked if I had any questions for him. I never felt rushed, and there were no surprises...everything was exactly as I was told it would be.
I treasure my vision and I am so grateful. I've already told people about how professional, competent and caring Dr. Shah and his staff are. They really do care.

I had worn contact lenses for 20 years and glasses for 37 years. My vision before cataract surgery was very blurry and it was hard to see distance and read.
The cataract evaluation was very thorough. Dr. Shah is very professional and personable and his staff is excellent…very caring and helpful. I was nervous about having the procedure, but they greatly eased my fears.

I had cataract surgery on my right eye on October 13, 2020 and Dr. Shah implatned a ReSTOR replacement lens. The rpcedure was much quicker than I had expected. I felt only a little pressure, but no pain. Like the staff at Dr. Shah’s office, the surgery center staff was great, too. I was surprised at how easy it was to recuperate, and I began to notice an improvement in my vision the very first day!
My vision feels brand new. I didn’t know how bad it had become until I had the procedure. Now I have no problem reading or working on the computer, and I have more confidence driving, especially at night. There’s no part of my life that hasn’t been affected. Everything is easier and clearer…no glasses or squinting to see. I have taken all of my reading glasses and put them in a drawer.
My new vision has brightened up my life every single day and is worth every penny. I plan to have my left eye done by Dr. Shah if that cataract keeps progressing.
I tell my friends if you can’t see as well as you want, just do it…go for it. I tell them that they will like Dr. Shah’s personality, that he is a professional, and that everything he promised came true. He has a great gift and is someone I would trust to work on my family and friends.

I need to have good vision for my job and overall quality of life. I had a positive experience with North County Ophthalmology in the past, so when my vision in my right eye became very fuzzy and made it difficult to see, I came to Dr. Shah.
Dr. Shah diagnosed a cataract as the cause of my problem. He was very straightforward and explained the condition very well and also clearly outlined all of the available options. I was somewhat nervous about having the procedure, but it helped when he explained the success rate. He asked repeatedly if I had questions or concerns.
The procedure was not at all uncomfortable. It was very quick and resulted in greatly improved vision. I began to notice improvement on the day of my surgery. I feel that I received very good value, and, knowing what I know now, I would make the same decision to have my procedure at North County Ophthalmology.
